Bib pick up dates
Pick up your bib, fundraising prizes and hand in any offline pledges with your completed pledge form on one of the following dates at the Canadian War Museum, in the Barney Danson Theatre.
- April 30, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- May 1, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- May 2, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- May 3, 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Event Start Times
Event start times are as follows:
- Ericsson 70K Cycle – 8:30 a.m.
- Coughlin & Associates 35K Cycle – 9:00 a.m.
- National Bank Financial 15K Cycle – 10:00 a.m.
- 5K Walk and 2K Walk – 10:30 a.m.
Please plan to arrive at least a half an hour before your start time.
The Bag Check Tent is located near the Info Tent.
This is a free service provided to all registered participants. Drop off your bag, stroller or other belongings at the Bag Check Tent that you do not want to carry during your event. Use the baggage tag attached to your bib to check your belongings. You will need to show your bib number to pick up any checked baggage after your event. The Bag Check Tent is supervised at all times.
Secure bike parking is located near the Info Tent. This is a free service provided to all registered participants.
Bikes will be securely parked in a gated area, with no locks required. Our volunteers will tag your bike with your bib number. To retrieve your bike you must present your bib. Bikes are not permitted inside the Canadian War Museum.
Submit your pledges along with the completed offline pledge form when you pick up your event bib or on event day at the registration area.
Organizers have created fully-supported routes but construction and vehicle traffic in certain areas may intersect with these routes. Please click here for information on each route. Police officers and volunteers will be positioned along each route for your safety. Please obey all instructions.
The John A. Macdonald Parkway will be closed between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 3. Click here to see a full list of road closures. Be sure to choose an alternate route to the museum.
There is indoor parking at the museum but spaces are limited. Parking is usually at full capacity by 7 a.m. so please allow for time to find alternate parking.
Indoor parking is $2.75 per half hour. The daily maximum rate is $13.00.
Alternate parking: There is additional parking on streets near the museum. These parking lots are all a short cycle (approximately one to two kilometers) from the Canadian War Museum:
- Tunney’s Pasture – Brooke Claxton Building
- Place de Ville – Queen and Kent
- Place du Portage – rue Maisonneuve
- Terrasses de la Chaudière – rue Eddy
- Zibi (accessed by Booth St and rue Eddy )
Participants are encouraged to park their vehicle at Tunney’s Pasture (Brooke Claxton Building) and ride the free shuttle bus to the event grounds at LeBreton Flats and back. Bus pick up will be located at the shuttle signs. See the designated parking lot in the map below.
Tunney’s Pasture Departures
- 7:30 a.m./ 9 a.m./ 9:30 a.m./ 9:55 a.m.
LeBreton Flats Departures
- Every 15 minutes between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
When making your way to Tunney’s Pasture, plan your route accordingly as the event will have many road closures in place. Click here for our road closures.
CN Cycle for CHEO is a rain or shine event. However, in the case of extreme weather conditions (lightening, torrential rain, etc.) a notice will be sent by email at 6 a.m. on event day. In addition, a notice will be sent to all media outlets in the Ottawa area and posts will be made on social media. Visit www.facebook.com/CNcycle if you are unsure if the event will happen or not.
